    Middle School

The objective is to develop written and oral skills to enhance the understanding of English and to validate the level required at the end of secondary school through official exams such as PET, B2, the First or IGCSEs.

The students will not be divided in terms of class, but rather in terms of level to allow each individual to optimise progress.

  • 2 sessions of 45 minutes per week

  • Small group (6 students maximum)

  • Lessons take place at 5 or 6 in the evening and/or on Saturday morning.

  • 30 and 45 minutes of personal work per student each week.

Official exams

The PET (Preliminary English Test) validates a B1 level on the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) scale which goes from A1 (beginner) to C2 (native).

It is offered by Cambridge English Assessment and is valid for life.

The IGCSE:  “International General Certificate of Secondary Education” certifies the English level of students in order to study at university.

The B2 FIRST, formerly Cambridge English Certificate, validates a B2 level on the CEFR scale.
This is the level theoretically expected of a Senior (Terminale) student in France that your child will reach at the end of Middle School.
